ABAE will host a Fellowship Reception from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Eleanor Kong Room in the Vrooman Center. Brief remarks will be shared at 4:45 p.m. and light refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP for the reception, and be sure opt-in to be kept up-to-date on the progress of the Association and future meetings by completing the ABAE interest form.
ABAE has been dormant for approximately four years and Quanisha Kumi-Darfour (email@example.com) and Lindsay Vahl (firstname.lastname@example.org) and a few additional faculty and staff are working together on the organizations' return for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The 7th Annual Umoja Black Graduation Celebration will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center. This event is a pre-commencement celebration to honor African-American and other students of color who, through unyielding determination, have successfully completed a degree from Illinois State University. Registration is FREE and open to ALL Illinois State University students graduating in spring, summer and fall of 2019. Please visit the Umoja website for additional information.
